San Jose, CA I November 27, 2014

Prysm, Inc., a privately held designer and manufacturer of video wall systems that deliver immersive and engaging user experiences, today announced the expansion of its European team to drive accelerated growth in 2015 and beyond. The first two new hires include  industry veterans Glenn Wastyn, vice president of Europe, and Rod Wheeler, regional director of sales for UK and Nordics. They are tasked with designing and implementing an extensive partner network for Europe.

Home to world leaders in industries spanning automotive, electronics, media, real estate and luxury retail, Europe represents a strategic opportunity for the value delivered by Prysm’s video walls and displays. Prysm’s strategy includes selecting high-end partners who are experts in the audiovisual market as well as the videoconferencing space. “We are looking for a select set of partners with the commercial and technical background that matches our solution and customer focus,” said Mr. Wastyn.

Mr. Wastyn will be responsible for sales, operations and service for the region. An entrepreneur and business leader, before joining Prysm, Mr. Wastyn led GVN, a company he founded in 2011 which provides online scheduling and booking of private and public videoconferencing facilities. Earlier, he founded GlobEvents, a travel and events agency. In addition, Mr. Wastyn led the Digital Cinema business unit of Barco from 2004 to 2008.

“Glenn brings tremendous leadership qualities to this position as well as extensive professional experience across both collaboration and AV,” said Dana Corey, vice president of Sales and Technical Operations at Prysm. “He and his team will ensure that the needs of our European customers are met with solutions from Prysm through our Select and Elite partners.”

Also joining Prysm, Mr. Wheeler is the new regional director of sales for UK and Nordics. Mr. Wheeler has over twenty years of experience working in the film, broadcast and cinema industry and most recently served as sales director for Unique Digital.  He worked at Barco for six years specializing in high-value, post-production sales and studio financed projector deployments.  Mr. Wheeler is the first of several new Prysm sales directors who will report to Mr. Wastyn as part of Prysm’s expanded team in Europe.

“Prysm’s solutions have garnered industry acclaim and a list of top-tier customers across the globe. There is tremendous opportunity to expand the adoption of these world-class solutions in the European market,” said Mr. Wastyn. “Blue chip companies will appreciate how Prysm can reinforce the presentation of their brands with Olympic video wall solutions. In addition, market leaders increasingly choose Prysm’s Cascade solutions to drive greater business agility, alignment and productivity through breakthrough collaboration capabilities.”
